stripes & polka dots

Shirt: Old Navy; Skirt: Forever 21; Clutch: Winners; Shoes: Aldo, Necklace: Tiffany & Co. (gift from bf); Earrings: H&M; Watch: Michael Kors; Bracelets: Le Chateau, Thomas Sabo and Links of London; Tights: (?)

I have been totally in love with polka dots lately, so when I saw this skirt online at Forever 21 I just had to have it! I feel like it will become one of those versatile pieces that I can wear all season long. I love the look of polka dots and stripes together. It is my subtle attempt to mix patterns without looking too outrageous. I have only been blogging for a month, but I feel like its already made me a bit more willing when it comes to trying new styles. So much inspiration in the blogosphere! Yes, that means you!!

I still miss my week-day getaway with the lovely boyfriend, especially since this weekend I am working and doing school work. I am already looking forward to going back!

What are your weekend plans?

  6. Not sure if you're a converse lady, but in warmer times this would be a great outfit with chucks--for a casual flirty look.
I really like the pairing with the sleek white blazer, it creates a business casual look, given a bit of punch because of the striped top. I think that made sense. And speaking of details, I love that the white stripes have white sequins to add subtle dimension.
    Good luck with your work!

    1. Thank you! I was wondering if the sequins would be noticeable in the pictures, so I am glad they are!
